Chinese devices have conquered the smartwatch market

MTS analysts have summarized the results of smartwatch sales in Russia for the first 9 months of 2025. Key market trends:

  1. Dominance of Chinese brands: Chinese manufacturers, including Huawei, Xiaomi and lesser-known brands, accounted for 70% of unit sales. The top 3 models consisted entirely of their devices.
  2. Growth of unknown brands: The share of lesser-known brands grew to 41%, confirming the demand for affordable models actively promoted on marketplaces.
  3. Strengthening of Huawei: In monetary terms, Huawei drew level with Apple, with each holding a 26% market share. This indicates growing acceptance of more expensive Chinese models.
  4. Customer profile: The most popular price segment was from 2,000 to 5,000 rubles (39% of purchases). The average device price was 7,900 rubles.

According to MTS Commercial Director Alexey Pomozov, smartwatches have ceased to be just an accessory, turning into a universal tool for communication, payments, and health monitoring, which is the main driver of their popularity.
