In 2025, sales of smart appliances with AI in Russia nearly doubled

In 2025, Russian retailers recorded a sharp surge in demand for household appliances with artificial intelligence functions. According to retail chains, the average growth in consumer interest for such devices was 85% compared to the previous year.

The dynamics within the category are uneven. The leaders were smart TVs (sales growth of 180-183%) and kitchen appliances with intelligent modes, such as air fryers (sales increased by 211%). Demand for AI-powered robot vacuum cleaners grew by 44%. Major retailers, including "Vsesmart" and "restore:", also confirm double-digit sales growth for built-in smart appliances.

Experts note that this trend reflects a shift in consumer preferences towards autonomy and personalization. "Buyers are increasingly choosing models with advanced functionality and automated scenarios that save time," comments Pavel Komarov, head of the "Electronics and Household Appliances" department at "Avito."

At the same time, market representatives point out that not all devices marketed as "smart" are equipped with full-fledged AI; often their operation is based on algorithms. Despite this and persistent consumer concerns about data protection, marketplaces forecast further growth of the "smart home" segment by 20-30% this year. Appliances capable of adapting to user habits are becoming a key market driver.
