Online shopping has become a form of entertainment and a way to "recharge" for 57% of Russians

According to a study by Yandex Rhytn, modern Russians are increasingly viewing the online space as an analogue of a shopping mall—a place for leisure, inspiration, and leisurely shopping, with 57% of respondents confirming this trend.

However, digital fatigue, noted by half of all users, is creating a new demand—for selectivity. Users are tired of "mindless scrolling" and want to spend their time online more consciously, within a safe and harmonious environment where the content and products are relevant to their interests and curated based on quality.

This is supported by the data:

  • 63% prefer to stay within a single digital space where they can move seamlessly from content to shopping, bypassing the informational noise.
  • 62% see products in their feed weekly that they would like to buy.
  • The main things users want to see in their feeds are store assortments (52%) and shopping ideas (31%).

This is precisely why it is now more important than ever to offer customers precisely those products that meet their demand for quality, relevance, and inspiration.
