In Russia, New Year's decorations started selling earlier than usual

Analysts from Avito note that Russians started actively buying New Year's decorations as early as summer and the beginning of autumn. Demand for them in the third quarter of 2025 jumped by 36% year-on-year and more than doubled compared to the previous quarter. The average bill for such purchases amounted to 4,000 rubles.

In parallel with decorations, users began to more frequently purchase other goods for home improvement:

  • Lighting: demand for lamps and floor lamps increased by 12%, for chandeliers by 6%.
  • Decorative elements: sales of candles grew by 10%, while vases and artificial flowers saw an 8% increase.
  • Storage items: the popularity of organizers and baskets increased by 19%.
